OMA

Camp OMA

After a Sunday service in Idaho, Oma felt a stirring in her heart when the pastor invited those ready to do more for the Lord. She walked to the front, prayed, and soon after, the house was sold and she was on her way to Alaska to join Joey and John at Camp Maranatha.

Oma now shares her heart through service—she loves keeping the hotel sparkling clean and preparing muffins & pastries using treasured recipes collected from friends and family over the years. One of her favorite places at camp is the dock, where she often spends time in prayer. She fondly calls it her “highway to heaven”—a place where she sees God all around in the the beauty of the lake, sky, and moon, drawing her closer to God’s presence.

With a servant’s heart and quiet strength, Oma is a daily inspiration to all who meet her.
